Don Simon Seleccion Tempranillo
Tart and bright. It's combination of strawberry and cherry it is a wonderful wine to have go with chicken parmigiana, pizza, burgers, heavy cheeses and spices. It is still a strong red, despite the bright notes and tartness, and will go well with your heavier dishes and red sauces. (gravy if you're down south.)
It is a cheap wine to purchase, but can not be compared to other wines at it's price range.
It pairs well with heavier meats and cheeses. A plate of sliced cheeses, pepperoni and other meats will pair quite well with this wine.
Once Upon a Vine: The Big Bad Red Blend 2012
Love at first taste.
This wine is big, bold and dry. The berry and chocolate flavors wrap around your taste buds in a wonderful experience. It is excellent to drink by itself with friends, as I did. Or to drink with mixed chocolates, which I also did.
This is a wonderful, middle of palate wine that goes great with desserts, chocolates, or just to while away on a comfortable evening.
Do not let the label fool you, it was a mature wine with lots of flavor. There is an earthiness to this wine that makes it a lovely wine to relax with. The well rounded flavor, with the rich velvety nature of this wine makes it a wonderful addition to the wine cabinet for many occasions.
